Clinical Pharmacology

Bromex® is an active mucolytic agent with an immediate rapid onset of action, this action is clinically manifested by increasing production of sputum which becomes evident after 2-3 days from the initiation of treatment. The breakdown of acid mucopolysaccharide fibers makes the sputum thinner and less viscid and therefore more easily removed by coughing. Although the sputum is eventually decreased, it’s maintained. There is also an increase response to drugs like Abupent Orciprenaline-Sulphate and Fenoterol Hydrobromide which are bronchodilators.
The elixir is suitable for diabetics and small children.
